4 stars because the lady who was serving us was so sweet and honest with all the recommendations and I’d go back just for her but anyways the interior was very homely Japanese vibes and there’s less seating than I’d expected but food was good albeit portion sizes were pretty small, eel and squid popcorn chicken was banging. There’s also a dessert place upstairs which had the cutest cakes, sweet potato cheesecake was delicious
We came here on a Friday evening and the place was very busy. We ordered the edamame, pork gyoza, soft shell crab tempura and the sashimi platter - all the dishes were fresh and delicious. The service was warm and friendly. The atmosphere felt nice and cozy. A good place to hang out with friends or go on a date.
FOOD. I tried the chicken katsu at this place. It's average, but I was a bit disappointed as it came with limited sauce, and surprisingly, no rice included. To get rice, there's an additional charge of $3, which felt a bit unnecessary.
PLACE. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and the tables are quite close together. If you value personal space, especially as an introvert, this might not be the ideal place for you.
SERVICE. On the bright side, the service was efficient, and there's a 3% discount when you pay in cash. No issues with customer service, but the overall experience was affected by the average food and tight seating arrangements.
Went here few weeks ago to celebrate our birthdays. Fortunately, what we’re able to experience was great food and above average service.
Were able to try their fresh sashimi, tender pork katsu (though having it with fat trimmings would have been better, just my personal preference), and the crispy soft shell crab tempura, which I really liked!
The desserts, matcha tiramisu, had a nice presentation, and cheesecake, a must try!
Thank you Nazimi and to the waitstaff who recommended to try their cheesecake (as we asked him his top choice since we couldn’t decide what to try). We’ll have to go back to try other items in their menu.
They just opened a new japanese dessert cafe upstairs. I had the strawberry shortcake, yuzu chiffon cake and matcha brownie. The cakes were not too sweet, which to my liking, however I wish the cake sponges were a bit moist. However, I will still go back to try other cakes and drinks as well.
Nazimi is well known for its exquisite Japanese cuisine but this time we had made a special visit to try its new High tea menus. And wow, you should really try this yourself.
Every single piece on the plate was so impressive. It was miles away quality that you can normally find. You might have visited a few well-known High Tea places in Sydney, but now you will need to forget about all those places.
Myself and my husband ordered peach Oolong tea and grape Oolong tea and the aroma were so rich and full and both teas matched perfectly with the High Tea. I am so happy that I found this place where I can enjoy the top end quality Japanese High Tea menus here in Sydney.
The food is wonderful and reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and accommodating. A small restaurant tucked away near QVB.
This review is for the café: got the sweet potato cheesecake, houjicha roll cake and matcha latte. Matcha latte was overly sweet with a bitter aftertaste which is signature when lower grade matcha powder is used. Same bitter aftertaste with …
